Privacy Policy
Summary TL;DR
Felt is a local-first mood and journaling app. Your mood entries, journal text, profile, and activity logs stay on your device in Apple's on-device store (SwiftData). We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not run ads. Limited diagnostic data is collected through Firebase to keep the app stable.
Contents

- App preferences stored in
UserDefaults(e.g. onboarding flags)
Felt does not include account sign-in or cloud sync for this content.

3. Why we collect it
- Stability — crash and performance reports help us fix bugs.
- Improvement — aggregate interaction data shows which screens are useful and where people get stuck.
- Purchases — purchase history validates entitlements if you buy a paid feature.
We do not use this data to advertise to you or to build a profile about you.
4. Third parties
- Firebase (Google) — crash reporting and analytics. See Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Apple — app delivery, in-app purchase, push notifications.
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.
5. Permissions Felt may request
- Notifications — used for mood check-in reminders. Optional. You can disable in iOS Settings.
6. Retention & deletion
On-device data is kept until you delete it. You can:
- Delete individual mood or journal entries from inside the app.
- Delete the app to remove all local data and preferences.
Diagnostic data sent to Firebase is retained per Google's standard retention windows for crash and analytics events.
7. Children
Felt is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used Felt, contact us and we will remove related diagnostic data.
8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Felt is not a medical device and does not replace professional help. If you are in crisis, please contact local emergency services.
